Privacy Policy

Summary

• The app does not collect data or transmit user content to the developers.
• The app does not track users across other companies' apps or websites.
• Vocabulary, imports, handwriting, OCR results, training history, challenges, badges, and preferences are stored locally on the device.
• Speech synthesis and handwriting recognition are performed with device frameworks. The app does not record or upload the user's voice or handwriting.
• The app does not require an account, name, email address, phone number, location, contacts, photos, or advertising identifier.

Information stored on the device

The app may store the following locally so its features work:

• Imported or bundled vocabulary, including words, phrases, topics, periods, and import history.
• Text entered while editing vocabulary, searching, configuring challenges, or adding notes.
• Training sessions, study activity, challenge progress, badges, and local app preferences.
• Handwriting strokes and recognition results while a training answer is being prepared.
• Voice and display preferences, including selected speech voices and language settings.

This information remains in the app's local storage. It is not sent to the developers or stored on a developer-controlled server. Removing the app or using the app's available deletion controls removes the corresponding local data, subject to the operating system's normal backup behavior.

Imports, exports, and sharing

The user may select a CSV, TXT, or JSON file through the system document picker. The app reads the selected file locally and does not upload it. The user may also export vocabulary through the system share or save interface. Any recipient or service selected by the user then handles the shared file under its own privacy policy.

The app provides optional instructions for using an external AI chat or image-to-vocabulary workflow. The app does not upload images, call an AI service, or transmit the generated vocabulary itself. If the user independently uses another service, that service's privacy policy applies.

Speech, handwriting, and recognition

The app uses Apple's on-device speech-synthesis, PencilKit, and Vision capabilities for pronunciation, handwriting input, and handwriting recognition. It does not record voice conversations, retain audio recordings, upload handwriting, or send recognition content to the developers. Availability and processing details can vary by operating-system version and installed language resources.

Optional tips

The app offers optional consumable tips through Apple's App Store payment system. The app does not receive payment-card or bank-account details. Apple processes the payment and may process purchase or transaction information under Apple's terms and privacy policy. Tips do not unlock learning features.

Websites and external services

The app includes an optional link to team.scheffel.at/leasvokabeln. Opening that link transfers browsing to the website or the user's chosen browser. The website, browser, Apple services, and any service the user voluntarily opens from the website may process information under their own privacy policies. The app does not attach vocabulary, handwriting, training history, or an advertising identifier to that link.

Tracking, advertising, and third parties

The app contains no third-party advertising or analytics SDK, does not use an advertising identifier, and does not share app data with data brokers. No data is used for targeted advertising, advertising measurement, marketing profiles, or cross-app tracking. Apple's operating-system services and App Store payment infrastructure may process information under Apple's policies; the app does not control Apple's independent processing.

Children's privacy

The app does not knowingly collect personal information from children or adults because it does not transmit personal information to the developers. Parents or guardians should supervise any external website, file-sharing, AI, or payment service opened from the device.

Changes to this policy

If the app's data practices change, this policy will be updated before or when the change becomes effective. The effective date at the top identifies the current version.
